As i began to become more confident in my work, i created a facebook album of some of my images. One image was noticed by a band named Jack Afro...










The Band

For gritty northern laments about trying to escape their miserable grey hometown, look elsewhere; Jack Afro have nothing for you because they’re having far too much fun skipping and stumbling through the technicolour streets of Leeds.

Frontman Mark Crossley – the songwriting talent of the Monkees under Leo Sayer’s hair – has assembled a dream team of tried and tested dancefloor hazards in James Rugg, Gav Bailey and Peet Hiley.

Supports to date include Babyshambles, The View, The Pigeon Detectives, Forward Russia and Larrikin Love, and among those representing the Fro on the airwaves are Zane Lowe on Radio 1 and Radio 6’s Marc Riley.

Debut single Take Me Home – released as a limited edition 7” released on 1965 Records in June 06 – sold 900 copies in its first week.

Toasting the girls, the boys, the bars - and even the grocery stores – with their three-minute pop seizures, the irrepressible ‘Fro don’t make time to reflect on a slap in the face, because as anyone lucky enough to have one knows, you can’t keep a good afro down.

hmm well I've done our profile now. But we normally work in Black and red. Check out the rough idea I've done. It's tough for me though as I only have paint.
